About NOYED

Net Organisation for Youth Empowerment and Development (NOYED-Ghana) stands together with the people of Ghana to develop our nation through engaging, educating and empowering women and children.

The organisation was founded in 2005 by a group of students passionate about improving the health, education, climate change and empowerment of women and children society as a means of increasing development in Ghana.

Based in the capital of Ghana’s Northern Region, Tamale, until recently, NOYED-Ghana was the lead agency for Northern Network for Education Development (NNED) . There are six  (2 females and 4 males) permanent staff and currently two international volunteers, one from Australia and one from Canada as well as periodic volunteers from University for Development Studies (UDS) and Tamale Technical University (TaTu) who make up the NOYED-Ghana family. The size of the organisation fluctuates, subject to the number of volunteers we have at any one time.

NOYED-Ghana is an inclusive organisation focused on improving access to education, health services and livelihood for women and children through community led programs and campaigns allowing them to build the skills and capacity to improve their quality of life.
